This event was totally unintentional, and unfortunately it happens way to often in Southwest Florida. In this case, the fisherman acted quickly and he was able to remove the fishhook safely. Within seconds of the hook being removed the egret flew off to join his friends. Please share this post as a reminder that we’re not alone.
