During this informal 20 minute conversation with local Shell Collector, Barb Grove, you will learn about the different types of seashells that can be found on the beaches of SW Florida. Barb is one of the many wonderful volunteers at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park in North Naples, Florida. Thursday morning wasn’t the most ideal beach day as Tropical Storm Hermine made her way north past Naples, Florida, about 250 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. The beach at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park was re-nourished with approximately 12 inches of new sand from the storm. The beach at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park has been voted one of the top 10 beaches in the nation by Dr. Beach for 2014 and 2015. As season winds down in Naples and the Snowbirds head north, the beaches become less and less crowded. This is when the locals return to their beach. Enjoy the video!
