Thursday morning wasn’t the most ideal beach day as Tropical Storm Hermine made her way north past Naples, Florida, about 250 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. The beach at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park was re-nourished with approximately 12 inches of new sand from the storm. Josh Lake caught this 6′ Tiger Shark just before sunset on Saturday, April 23rd. The shark was caught at Via Miramar beach on the north side of Doctors Pass, then safely released back into the water shortly after removing the hook. The beach at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park has been voted one of the top 10 beaches in the nation by Dr. Beach for 2014 and 2015. As season winds down in Naples and the Snowbirds head north, the beaches become less and less crowded. This is when the locals return to their beach. Enjoy the video!

The Naples Pier is a favorite spot for residents and visitors to fish, people watch and enjoy the spectacular Southwest Florida Sunsets. In early July of 2015, renovations were started on this historic landmark. The Naples Pier is scheduled to reopen in early November, 2015.
